In advance of a major redevelopment scheme, an asbestos survey of this site was carried out, which comprised a number of adjoining buildings in the heart of the West End. A wide variety of asbestos-containing materials were identified including thermal insulation and associated residue, asbestos insulation board ceilings and fire breaks, textured coatings, asbestos-containing adhesive, stair nosings, and asbestos rope.
Decontaminate successfully tendered for the asbestos removal works carefully completed over 18 weeks to enable follow-up works to commence safely.
